As a living card game, Android: Netrunner is played with decks of cards. Each card has its own title, text defining its abilities, and stats, generally depending on the type of card that it is.

Self-referential Language[]

If a card's text has its own title in it, that title refers to that specific copy of the card and not to any other copy of the card, except where otherwise noted.

Unless otherwise noted, a card with text that refers to its own card title only refers to itself and does not refer to other copies of cards with that title.

Memory[]

Cards do not retain memory of their previous states if uninstalled and reinstalled. Each time any copy of a card becomes active, it is considered to be a new instance of that card.
